Lost Stop is an album featuring 8 pieces that blend modern jazz, Iranian classical traditions, and contemporary chamber music. Drawing from the melodic and rhythmic elements of the Radif, the music incorporates its phrasing, ornamentation, and improvisational depth within a progressive jazz framework. Ali Hossein Mahdavi’s piano lines interact with the fluid bass movements of Lukas Florian, while dynamic drumming from Jan Samson Krizanic—who also plays tuba and conga—adds depth and texture. Progressive rhythms, shaped by Iranian cycles, form the foundation, creating evolving structures that merge composed and improvised sections. The trio navigates contrasts and fluid transitions, where intricate melodies and shifting rhythms unite in a constantly evolving musical experience.

Story Behind The Artwork
Since the entire Project was profoundly influenced by Tchaikovsky ,we aimed for cover art to visually echo this connection. However deciding for the most fitting representation proved to be a challenge , we searched for Tchaikovskys favorite painting ,seeking inspiration from his personal tastes. thats when we stumbeled upon a painting in the Tchaikovsky Museum , an artwork titeled " Melancolie" by Anna Fernow , that according to some papers and researches was painted and inspired by tchaikovskys music and was sent to him by a mutal firends , there so manay interesting infromation about his idea about the painting and relation ship with the artist and fernow familly and that he believed that there is bittersweetness in the melancholy emotion.but ever-since he hanged that painting on the wall in his living room . this discovery became the cornerstone of the project ,symbolizing a harmonious blend of past and future , jazz and classical and melancholy and perhaps , elements beyond .
